Medical FAQ'S

Do you accept insurance?

If you have a PPO insurance plan, we are available as an Out-of-
Network provider.  We will provide you with a bill for you to give to your
insurance company  for the Comprehensive Physical Exam.  All other
services are not covered by your insurance company and payment with
cash or credit card will be expected before services are rendered.

We do not accept Medicare, Medicaid or HMO plans.

There is no intent on our behalf to include insurance covered services
        in your annual concierge fee.

Do I still need insurance if I enroll in your Personal Concierge Physician Program?

Yes.  Concierge practices are not a substitute for health insurance.
If you have PPO insurance, you may be able to provide your insurance
company with an invoice and may be reimbursed.  You will still need
insurance to cover hospitalization, X-rays and specialist visits.

Will my insurance company reimburse by annual Personal Concierge Physician fee?

Private insurance plans usually do not reimburse for the annual fee.

Is the fee tax deductible?

Please contact your accountant or tax professional for more information.

What about X-rays, specialist visits and hospitalization?

Your fee provides you with an annual comprehensive exam and other
services not covered by insurance.  X-rays, specialist visits and
           hospitalizations are the patient's responsibility.

What if Dr. Washington is out of town?

In the rare event that Dr. Washington is out of the Atlanta area,
he will be available by phone.  Any patient requiring care for minor
emergencies will be seen by a covering physician.  All patients
enrolled in our Personal Concierge Physician Program will be
notified through email if Dr. Washington is out of town.

Is there an age limit?
Dr. Washington is an experienced Board Certified Internal Medicine
physician, and is trained to treat adults age 18 and up for a wide
        range of medical conditions.

What do I do in case of a medical emergency?
